Major Achievements

RDF’s Climate and Livelihood Improvement Program is dedicated to fostering sustainable practices and enhancing economic well-being across numerous villages in Sindh. This program focuses on building climate resilience through modern agricultural techniques, improving water management infrastructure, and promoting economic empowerment via skills development and support for small and medium enterprises. It also addresses livestock health and supports household-level food production initiatives to ensure broader food security.

The Education and Skills Improvement Program of RDF is committed to expanding access to quality education and vocational training. This involves operationalizing and managing various levels of schools through public-private partnerships, establishing professional development centers for teachers, and implementing innovative learning approaches. The program also works to improve school environments and facilities, alongside extensive efforts in non-formal education, such as adult literacy, and comprehensive technical and vocational training to enhance employability.

RDF’s Humanitarian Response and Community Resilience Building Program combines immediate life saving aid with long-term efforts to strengthen community resilience. The program has extensive experience in responding to major emergencies such as floods and droughts, providing critical services including WASH, shelter, and food security. Concurrently, it builds community resilience through widespread WASH infrastructure development, shelter provision, health and hygiene promotion, disaster risk reduction training, and initiatives for livelihood and economic recovery.

RDF integrates key crosscutting themes like the Self Help Approach, which empowers communities through collective action and local ownership. Additionally, the organization supports Legal & Civil Documentation, assisting individuals with essential processes for formal recognition and access to rights.
